Default Need a shift rod coupler

Hey everyone, I'm new to the air cooled world as I found a 74 914 2.0L that I couldn't say no to. Shifter was extremely loose so I ordered a bushing kit and proceeded to replace them all. Got to the shift rod coupler and debated even bothering because they were good and tight but, I thought "why not I've got it out and I've got the bushings". Then I broke it pushing the pin out in my press.

So to make a long story short I'm in need of one and really didn't want to wait on one to come from Germany. Got an email in to pelican for an estimated lead time. I found the one for 911's with a short shaft are much more common, not sure if the dimensions are the same that the short shaft can be replaced with the long 914 shaft though.

Or if someone has a nice used one available...I'd go that way.

As always advice is appreciated!

I could not remove my pin also .... I decided to cut the bushing in half, put it into position and glue it together(bushing) all at the same time...worked out fine,, for now
Good luck

the 911 is the same coupler housing, just need to free the short shaft and use 914 coupler bushings as the 911 variety have built in slop
