Default We'll be attending!

My wife and I decided to make it a long weekend. Never been to one of the big shows so really looking forward to it. Won't be taking the 914 or the TT unfortunately....I'm a bit **** about my cars. May drive her DD 2011 Cayman down. Really looking forward to it. Staying in Jacksonville Beach.

Most looking forward to the cars and coffee event.

Default the Amelia...definitely a must

FWIW, as I lived in the JAX area for 7-8 years, I attending "the Amelia" nearly every year and each time couldn't wait for next year's show. Hands down, this show is World Class and a huge bargain compared to many other Concours venues.

A couple of suggestions:
>Book a motel room in "the beaches area", like Jacksonville Beach, as there are many reasonable possibilities.
>Rent a car at airport or locally.
>Get up early on Sunday morning, like around 6A, and drive to Amelia Island via the Newport ferry route...trip = about an hour. This drive is picturesque and the rising sun will really charge you up for the show.

Did the factory bring over Piech's 914-8??? Sure looks like it in those pix.

And a real 916... is that one Peter Gregg's that was on the R&T cover??

A lot of great pix also over at 914 world. The factory did bring the 914-8 over. What would have been worth price of admission )

And that is the Brumos real only original 916 brought over as it's the only one with the horrible side marker lights...
