Two part trans mount system, the smaller bracket is sitting in its assembly fixture

Engine mount assembly jigs; keeps everything in spec while putting these together

A bit of TIG welding in the alum trans mount bar, and basic layout of the side support alignment plates

Hey Marty,

Any estimate as to when you will start tuning on this? I am real curious as to how it runs. I saw yours over @ Lozano's before they shipped it to you. I think you were around 8:1 compression, but with cams and the elim. of the. variocam. I too have a Lozano built 4.5. Getting my ecu prepped now and ready to start tuning in the next few weeks. A bit different than yours but shooting for the same power goals in a Cayenne. Using Borg Warner EFR 7163 Aluminum supercore Turbo's on 9.5:1 and e-85.

The transaxle support beam is now fastened down to the chassis... So ; now doubling as the Rear wing Left and Right wing strut mount points . Strut des
ign in progress.
J'sWorld...not sure about the tuning on your ECU; ours is a Haltech Elite 2500. It will eventually be tuned at a Haltech tuner in Lake Havasu, Az.
Did you retain the OE Cayenne oil pan ¿ Ben, Mike and the Lozano crew are amazing

@ Marty,

Too many networked systems in the Cayenne for standalone on my budget right now....However the Bosch is just as capable in the right hands. I am using the stock pan and oiling system. It is one of the best I have ever seen on a normal factory vehicle and no clearance considerations for the Cayenne. Your build is ridiculous! Top notch! If you can make it hook.......waaahhhh!

Ben and the crew are really great people. I couldn't be happier with how my engine runs. The ring seal.... no smoke, no slap. Look familiar? The two engines from the Action Express car. Not sure which one won the race.

...hard to tell which engine won the 2010 Daytona, when I was at their shop those were there alongside our build. They look more intimidating once the Wilson Intakes top cover gets bolted on ! Also a couple of pallets with several expired "Test mule" engines in a corner.
End of the day....Ben said that the Cayenne v8s are as tough as they come, even more reliable than the LS gm v8s of that era . Ben showed us their Daytona 24 hr 2010 trophy...and then he recanted the short speech he gave in winners circle that day; if you've never heard it It's a Hoot !

Wing supports are popping out of the unibody nicely . These will serve as the foundation point for the Left and Right uprights that support the roof-high carbon fiber wing
