Hello to all
this is the conversion i want to do but i am unfamiliar with the transaxle of the 914.
how strong is the transmission and the axles in the 914 id like to see 700+ out of the 383 on a 76 mil and maby E85 for fuel, if the tranny and axles are not up for that kind of power it what is?

This is an interesting build, I don't think a stock tranny could handle that power.

700 horsepower will kill a lot more than just the tranny and axles. It will start to tear the chassis apart.

Most people will tell you a 901 is good for 200 horse, I think a good one driven well can do about 300. I'm not sure cup car axles are good for 700 hp as cup cars break them.

Think most of the good conversions use some type of G50 transmission & there are places that advertise custom axles with universal joints, etc.

I have no experience with them, but i have heard good things about RAXLES. Supposedly they can build you any custom CV Application.

I also don't know anything about costs involved.
