Need help to design a fuel set-up
Here is what I have - 1974 race car body - 1973 2.0 liter very stock inside - pair of p11 (40) solex carbs - 16 gal fuel cell - and a VERY TIGHT BUDGET -
I think I want 2 cheap fuel pumps on board - flex lines thru the heater duct area - and CHEAP - the fuel cell has a -8 an outlet -
this car is for the www.chumpcar.com racing series of low cost, LONG endurance races -
thanks for y'alls help - live in Savannah but NOT from here !!!!!!!

what are the fuel line rules for chumpcar?
You could do a -8 to barb fitting, then just run regular fuel line to the pump and back to the carbs.

Don't think there is much in the chumpcar rules. We built and ran a 325i for a chump race a couple weeks ago. They let you use the stock fuel tank, and naturally fuel cells are allowed. i do recall some subpoints relating specifically to fuel cells though. From what I experienced, they're usually pretty cool as long you don't have a leak.

You need one of these http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/p...cet_Fuel_Pumps and something like http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/10058...ductId=1167165. You need around 3 psi pressure and and 1/4" line most likely. It's normally mm line, but you can make it work.

Have the Facet pump and an inline pressure regulator on my Weber carbed car- works great- the pump is up front to stay away from engine heat...
