914 brakes/wheel bolt patterns
As I accuired 5 914's, parts, etc. from a collection, i am trying to learn more about the cars. According to the VINs all 5 are 4 cylinder cars, although one title states 6cyl. on it. On of the rollers has 5 bolt wheels(944 cookie cutters) and fiberglass flares. Is there a way to tell if this was a 911 upgrade? I would like to find out more about all of the 914 parts that are desirable to make a group 8 SVRA 914/6 racer...

If they are 4 cyl cars, they all had 4 lug wheels, so any of those with 5 lug are upgraded.

Take off a wheel and show some pics. Caliper bolt spacing on the strut is key.. 3" is "old" 911. 3.5" is "newer" 911. The 911 front suspension is a "bolt on" upgrade on a 914. Check the rear wheels to see if the hbs were redrilled for 5-bolt or if they are regular 911 (ie, there would be no emergency brake)
As for "legal", that is what the SVRA rule book is for.
