Default Auto atlanta question

Hi Guys i just bought some shocks to hold the decklid up on my 964 turbo from auto atlanta, first i stood there for 30 minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge my existence. Second the guy gave me the shocks for my turbo, i went home and they barely hold my decklid up, it takes like a touch of my finger to bring it down. Now this is a real pain in the *** job swapping those things out. I called and they said that they would swap them out that i was supposed to have heavy duty ones for turbo's well i dont know why he didnt give me those to begin with but mistakes happen.
If these heavy duty shocks cost more should i be angry if they charge me extra because i have a feeling they will try to charge me. I feel that after all the trouble of having to replace them twice and drive up there twice they should swap them no charge.
I have never dealt with these guys before do they have a good reputation, Frankly their prices are no better than Jim Ellis porsche and his prices are wayyyyyy high.

Where is the question? Seems only like a rant. Vote with your wallet. Shop elsewhere next time.

Lesson learned. Stay away from Auto Atlanta. I can't believe they are still in business after all the bad stories I hear from them.

Yea Racer the question was if you had read........."I have never dealt with these guys before do they have a good reputation?"

Anyhow they swapped my shocks out and apoligized for the inconvenience and did not charge me extra so i thought that was pretty decent of them. But i wanted to order a front rubber smile and they wanted $195.00 bought it from sunset for $121.00, i dont know how sunset does it but all the stuff i bought from them is so cheap its scary. The only catch is it takes a while to get here.

AA sucks. The following all happened before I learned there were other parts sources available:
They charged me for stuff I never ordered. Charged me for stuff someone else ordered as a present for me which they paid for when they ordered it, sent me the wrong part more than once and made me pay return shipping, and sold me a set of calipers that they modified with a die grinder after telling me they were milled to exact standards. These calipers could have easily failed, resulting in an accident, possibly killing me. They were offended when I returned them and they deducted the PCA discount I had on the whole order when they refunded my money. Hell no, I wouldn't buy damn thing from them if they were the only parts store available. I'd leave my car to rot in the rain first.

We occasionally use Sunset as one of our suppliers when we need to get some other Porsche stock. Jeff Clark is the man!

Sorry I missed the original question, Boeing. I tend to look for the " ? " when I am told there is a question. You hid it the first time disguising it as a statement. Kudos to you good man.

Jeff has helped me many many times! Just super knowledgeable, and great to work with. Jeff and Sunset are THE winning combo for factory available parts...

Unfortunately, we occasionally have to find NLA parts...

If you have a problem with AA, get to George...he can get 'er done! Yeah, you shouldn't have to go to the top, but sometimes you have to...

1986951,
Actually, George is the one I wouldn't go to with a problem. Long story, and I don't want to slam another company any more. Sorry if I have already done that.
