914 2.0 unstoppable oil leak?
Just purchased a rebuilt 2.0 914 engine. The previous owner or re builder over tightened the oil strainer cover. It should have been torqued to 9-10 ft lbs but was much tighter. I have installed new gaskets and re torqued to factory specs but with no luck.Any suggestions on stopping or slowing down this leak without disassembling the entire engine case to replace a possible damaged oil baffle plate or damaged engine case. Thanks

Looks like you're suffering the dreaded "T-IV Syndrome." I've inherited this similar problem from a PO, and have lived with it for going-on 4 years.
I've tried just about everything, but what seems to slow it down to the occasional teardrop (for me, anyway) is two (2) new gaskets, and using Permatex Gasket Sealant on all surfaces and gaskets. Let dry until it's all tacky, than assemble the oil strainer and cover and carefully tighten the center bolt. Until I perform my often-delayed performance rebuild, I just keep a drip tin under it in the garage. C'est la vie.
Currently, there isn't a quick fix available, although I wish someone would pick up on this and invent some sort-of reinforced sump plate/oil strainer cover mod, like what's available for -6's, early 912's, and 356's.
