Default 914 Project car

I've been looking for a fun project car. I found this 914 on AutoExtra.com. Is this a fair price for a 914 in this great of shape? It seems to be a bit high. What do you think?

Seems like you could find a similar car from a private party for a lot less.
How did the car drive?
Will the dealer allow you to take the car to an independent Porsche shop for a pre-purchase inspection?
Have you checked the 914club site for the price of similar cars for sale by private parties?

The price doesn't seem bad, but that better be a really nice car without ANY rust on it for that price. The thing that concerns me is why is it at a used car lot and why is it sitting in the rain? 914's hate the rain and if does it a lot then I would be concerned about that too? I would take it to a good 914 shop who can look the whole car over (body and engine) and then I would think about buying it. The price is right for a rust free 914 that needs nothing. Also, welcome to Rennlist!!!!!!

Well, it is in Everett and at a used car lot.. price is alittle high for a 1.8L but if its really nice its worth it. Hellhole and rockers need to be checked to rust!
