the most important is rust free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cosmitics and other things less important
1000-2500 $ is the budget!!

Do you need it to be in good running/working order? A truly rust-free 2.0 in that price range would be a bargain.

I hate to pop your bubble, but if you are able to find a REAL rust free 914 for that price range you are AMAZING. Rust free 914's are going to be in the $7k-$9K price range. I just sold my rust free 1973 914 2.0 for $8K and I was under value, but I needed to move it fast. Good luck in your search. If I hear anything I will let you know.

im not thinking that 4 that some ill get 100% rust free , i can live with a little rust here and there but nothing major

That is a fair price if that 1.7 is in solid shape. Would make a excellent, fun little car to own.
