This is a 1974 914 I'm most likely going to pick up tomorrow for 7K what are your thoughts ad reads, Runs beautifully!!! five-speed transmission. Needs complete restoration rusty trunk lid. Interior is trashed but complete. fuel Injection 1.8l opened up to 2100cc Restore or drive it as is. Very dependable. Registered, insured, drivable. Cash please. If the ad is up it’s still available no rust only on trunk lid its self

Are you trying to buy a driver or a prorect or some of both? If the trunk lid is rusty, check the hell hole, suspension pickups, etc very carefully. Remove the roof and look at the tops of the doors where they meet the rear quarters. If the gaps close up or the doors stick when trying to open, walk away unless you're looking for a large project.

Otherwise, that's not a terrible price for a decent 914 starting point as their values are going up quite a bit.

if you can do all of the work yourself, and it runs well, a good buy these days. If you cannot, then it is a parts car
