Pic in the middle (black 930) is Bill MacEachern's 725,000 mile 930...some youtubes on his car (search). On our 914-widebody project...search here in 914/9146 section " 9148-gtt", we use the Forgeline (USA) brand c/l wheels and adapters. Finding the early OE Porsche c/l items + wheels are still out there...just pricey and more searching; which is the reason we chose Forgeline. They are a wheel supplier to IMSA and many other sanctioned race groups.

Forgeline are great wheels and a great company. I have a custom set of them on my RUF 997 as well. Nice choice and maybe a first on something that looks like it's 914 based. I love following this build!.

Thanks for your imput, i will follow your build, looks great!
The 930 seems to have the penta wheels that john james racing uses on his 935 and 3.0 rsr builds.

Penta wheels on john james racing 935 build

Singer dls fuchs style wheels

Singer dls engineering mule with the center lock fuchs

As an alternative to the 917 style wheels there is also the singer dls fuchs style center lock wheels but that is another story

Having cars with both I'd would NEVER put centerlocks on a 914! They look neat, but are a major PITA to change etc compared to the good old 5 bolts!! I wish my turbo S coupe had 5 lug wheels...

wheels do look like these on the RSR ¡
If you do require the Forgeline Wheel specs on our 914 build (backspace, offset, etc.) that we are using Front + Rear, dM me and I'll send along !

Time in the pit is critical (even in today's club level) so we use these 2 items...

yes, i agree that on my GT3 and Terga GTS it is a different process to get the wheels out but that is the modern world, i do like old school center looking, not sure though if i will do that to my 914, that will mean major issue with the german TÜV anyway.

great build by the way! If i amtemoted but if i decide to go centerlocking i will most certainly never get the car street legal in germany, i already tried for other projects with forgeline or HRE wheels you basically hope not to get checked by the Polizei... not fun over here.
