Metal roof and there is nothing wrong with it if you like additional frame rigidity.

besides it being a radical restoration, it is a 916 that is why the welded on steel roof is in the picture

good man, love a sense of humor. This 916 was so bad with wreck and rust that it had to be pieced back together with factory nos parts to save it.
