New to the forum, Porsche and the 912E
Hey,
Just wanted to introduce myself, just purchased a 912E from a somewhat local guy who owned it for 17 years!
I am looking forward to reading about this interesting vehicle here.
Will post pics in a few days.

Here she is-finally in my hands!
I can not believe what 89HP can do, this thing is fun to drive! My DD is almost the complete opposite of this car- 350HP, AWD, and 4(or 5) doors. I can not go back to driving that and I haven't even fixed the A/C on this yet.
What a fantastic little car- I now get it.
I hope to own this 912E forever!
Here's what I'm going to do for her in the short term- ANY tips appreciated
If there is ANYTHING else I should be doing immediately, I'm all ears!

Here's what I'm going to do for her in the short term- ANY tips appreciated
- Oil change and filter
- Check brake fluid
- Check brakes and rotors
- Check fuel injectors
- Check body seals especially sunroof
- Comfort and convenience
- Add A/C vents and switches as soon as I figure out which vents I need. Apparently there were 2 incompatible systems used on these.
- Add rear seatbelts
- Add a radio (already has all speaker wiring)
- Cosmetic
- Polish fuchs wheels
- Add chrome headlight rings (the ones on there are not the thick ones I like)
- Add vintage period correct NY plates.
- New mats
If there is ANYTHING else I should be doing immediately, I'm all ears!

I'm just loving the pep on this light little machine. My Ford is 1000lbs heavier and while I love it, it's hard to compare it to the handling marvel that is the 912E!
