Non running 912E
Hello all
I'm looking at a 1976 912E that's in very good condition. No rust, paint still shiny, seats are good no tear. I would have no problem driving this thing everyday. One problem, the engine is not running. The owner said she drove it into the garage and when she started it didn't run so it stayed there until now, which is about seven years.
The problem is she set on $14k and I have no idea how much the car worth, and how much more to get it running. What do you experts think? Btw, its white with red velvet interior.

Nice purchase. I bought my 912e from a guy near West Point, MS in 2014 for $6,500. The odometer didn't work but it read 24,600 miles which I knew was wrong. It still was a nice car for the price until the engine blew 9 months after I bought it. I had it rebuilt with racing cams, dual carburetors and other upgrades (I'm no mechanic). The car now goes with mid 70 911's - it's gotta be pushing 120 hp!
I love the car! Drove it to work today :-)

The original fuel injected cars are worth a bit more. I would keep it that way. I was considering doing an AC upgrade at about $3k. The car came with factory air which doesn't work. I wonder if anyone has upgraded their AC?
Still crazy about that little 4 banger!
