I get it. You did everything required. Some gems are much too far gone, and some can be saved. Hold on to the 4.5 Fuchs. They have to be worth more than you have wrapped up in the car. If you ever want to find a home for those I know a orange '67 that would be all warm & fuzzy about them

I'd like to say different - but - the interior of the case is worse then the exterior...? I'm working on separating it, but, I think that it is so far gone that the crank and internals are "welded" together as a "complete" unit..
When I emptied the "oil" three days ago - out came about 8 quarts of water, oil and gas "mix" - that had been in there since 1972... You'd think that if the parts were "submerged" in anything - they'd be OK..?? Nope - not the case...
I thing the PO allowed a few seasons of hard rain and snow through the carbs (which are also seized?) and then stored it...
Anyway - it is what it is, I guess??

I am sorry, that really Sucks! It is good to know when to bail on a project early before you spend too much time, money and energy and then come to that conclusion. Don't ask me how I know.

John, sorry to hear the sad news, but you really gave it a full college try.
Perhaps the remaining parts can be used by Jaime Diaz (a.k.a Wachuko)?
