When taking a car to Alejandro he would tell me that it will be ready in two weeks... Well... the RS project was left with him on 09-22-2012... two weeks later it was Dec 5, 2015

I will try to be better at following up with him to get him to work a little bit faster. In the mean time, I have the SC->RS project to put back together.

I received the decals. They look great! (there are SC and 912 decals in the photo... ordered for both cars)

Bodywork first. Alejandro will do all the metal work and I will find someone else to do the painting. Or it will take years before I have it back.

I am way overdue on driving one again... it has been years since these cars have been on the street... the 964 needs tranny work, the SC needs to be finished, the 912 is a year or two from being done

Wishing one was finished to enjoy it... for now I just sit and contemplate them while day dreaming that I am driving...

Thank you for the comments!!

So I get a call from Alejandro (friend that is doing the metal work)... "Hey Jaime! Your car should be done in the next few weeks... I need the bolts that hold the rear engine lid hinges in place... and here is a photo of what I am working on today..."

Sure, no problem, I have all those bolts here... now what the heck does that one look like!??

It is funny (not really), how I bagged them all, label the bags... then took them to the plating place and I got back one box (well two) with all the bolts and parts in them... So next time I do something like this (next time! ha! I doubt that will happen, lol) not only do I have to label the bags, I need to take photos of the parts/bolts next to the description, so when everything comes back from yellow zinc plating I can sort everything back to where it belongs... Right now I have to rely on PET diagrams and description, but not every single bolt has its specs listed there...

Anyway... found the bolts and the lock nuts, grabbed two new flat washers (I had order 100 M8 washers just in case - Peter and his suggestion of me looking at McMaster-Carr site... good grief... )

I will be sure to take a lot of photos of the work he has done so far.

Alejandro also told me that he found rust in the front cowl to windshield section... the area where the rubber gasket for the hood goes...that section that has the wiper arms... could not find a replacement at Restoration Design (called), and the guys in the UK (http://www.design911.com) sell the complete window frame and cowl (hefty price not eve including shipping and it is listed as 78-89 so not even sure it is the same as the one in my '67)... so I need to see what other alternatives I have... he said that he can rebuild it little by little, but the amount of curves and shapes, he wanted to see first if a replacement panel was available.

Also ordered a few more parts from Restoration-Design...

Inner fender front left repair panel

Front bumper bracket (Alejandro could reuse the one there... I just keep thinking of the time vs. just welding... I want him to maximize the time...or just use it in the other areas where repair panels are extremely expensive or hard to get...)

And the Parcel Shelf Support Bracket
