Question '68 Transmission Swap

The transmission in my '68 912 is shot. I currently have a type 901/01 transmission. I am debating whether to have it rebuilt or to get a already built one. My questions comes down to this, which transmissions can be installed in a '68 912?

Thanks for the help. I hope to be back on the road soon!

David,
If you visit this page http://www.912registry.org/faqs/origspec.htm They have listed the transmissions that originally could be installed in the 912s. Whether or not a transmission for a different car can be installed that would give you different performance I don't really know. I hope this helps some.

You should be fine with any 901 or 902 transmission.
