Question More brake ?'s

I posted this on the mailing list as well - dos this mean it's double posted? Sorry if it is...
Hi all! (sorry for the long post...it's been a long haul)
Newbie here. I have read over the topics here and on the 911 list about brakes. I have a 67 912 and when I got it last month the brake pedal just about went to the floor. The car stopped fine, but the pedal seemed soft and like it had too much travel. Not wanting to over-spend to solve a possible "simple" problem I have done the following:
1)Bleed. <no change>
2)Drain. re-fill (DOT 4) Bleed. <no change>
3)Master Cylander - new <slightly, occationally better - now able to "pump
up the brakes" to a nice hard pedal, but have to do it at every stop>
4)new brakes lines (OEM rubber). <no change>
5)new brake pads. remove and inspect calipers (they looked okay to me...duh...). drain, re-fill, bleed. <now it is MUCH BETTER - good and hard, but...in the mornings, or after sitting a while, or in extreme heat, I still get the "WHOA! where are my brakes??!! for one push of the pedal, then they restore to hard.>

Is it possible that when I had the calipers off to inspect them, something loosened up and gave me back 90% of my brakes? Should I re-build the calipers? Everything I read about these symptoms points to the MC - but now it's new...
You guys have helped so much already without knowing it - anything to get me that feeling of security in my brakes would be great. Thanks!

Craig,

The good news is there isn't much left to do How are you bleeding your brakes? Are you using a pressure bleeder? Do you tap on the sides of the caliper you're bleeding with a small wrench, to cause any air bubbles to rise and move along out of the system? You can rebuild your calipers, as it's not hard to do and the rebuild kits are not expensive. I wonder, however, about air in the system, which is why I asked how you were bleed the system.
