Restoring the original look of the interior (questions)
#16
Hard to find pictures of it with the contrasting black. I believe maroon was a more common choice than the blue or black.
White / blue
White / maroon
Well, matching of course!
I would say black, or possibly the dark blue. I have sat in the later Marine Blue interior, and it really is quite nice. But I could see how all blue could be too much for some. Lighting changes it quite a bit.
I'm not sure how Marine Blue compares to the earlier Dark Blue. Perhaps Dark Blue with black accents?

Thank you!
I have 1 month to make this decision. But if I have to decide now I will choose black interior.
I will collect photos with different color interiors and then think about it

I actually think a dark brown would look nice in an orange car. You could even go with a lighter more caramel color too. Attached are a couple pics for reference...
Also, here is a link to some great leather colors:

And textures... they even have that singer basket weave!

Good Luck!

This seems a tough one to consider Voodoo. Even though I love black, and black goes with everything, I do think a dark brown might also really set off the Blood Orange. And IMO it would have to be a dark brown that did not have a any shades of red -or- burgundy in it (in other words post # 20 above would clash in color with Blood Orange).
You really want to set the Blood Orange off. Make it pop. The Blood Orange is already going to be a brilliant color that makes people walk TOWARDS it.... so you don't want to get a cringe on faces once you see the interior. Hence Black is the easiest safest choice.
But a dark brown is intriguing,... so I am not being much help here.
If you go brown,... go dark dark brown.

Voodoo, on the couple of occasions that I could pick a Brown I have picked Natural Browns. Way back then I ordered it on my 2007 997TT and on also the King Ranch Brown on my Ford truck.
For expert opinion on colors, I always go to my wife. She's way better than me.

Need you help again
1. Please give me the photos of 930's original interior. My '86 930 doesn't have original interior (thanks to previuos owner). Want to know how do the stitches should look like on the doors, are the threads the same color as the leather, etc.
2. The perforated leather is used only on the ceiling. Am I right? Or maybe on the seats too?
Thank you!

Voodoo, I responded to your PM.
I am sorry, but I have not been where my cars for more than a month+. I am in the process of building a shop and everything is stored all over the country...
I have two of these and on both headliner is perforated, the seats are small perforation on the 1987 but solid leather on the 1994. I guess different era and different seats. Stitching is leather, the door panel stitching is the same as the seats, etc...
It is very hard to take photos of black interior with black stitching. Everythign just looks black...
Good Luck.

In addition to my black perforated headliner, both my front and rear seat inserts have perforated leather.

Sergey, my car is red [guards]/tan [champagne]. The thread used on the carpet/doors/seats is tan. Although, it could have been special ordered with deviated stitching.
In addition to my black perforated headliner, both my front and rear seat inserts have perforated leather.

Is the headrest also perforated?
What is the distance between perforations? And is this distance the same on the seats and headliner?
I like your interior color! Just choosing between Tan and Saddle interior.
