First 930 in the U.S.
I covered this car a few years ago for Excellence, so it's now buried in a back issue and was never put online. I thought I'd rework it and put it up where anyone can check it out anytime, as it's a pretty cool story.

Excellent story Zach.. and that site is one of my favorites, considering I don't own anything stock!
Its always interesting to find the first cars in a series. We (a bunch of 930 guys) had been looking for the first 78 930, which of course ushered in all the changes (big brakes w/floating rotors, IC, new crank and larger displacement eng).. Still haven't found #1, but found the last 78 #461, and then discovered that I had the 2nd production 78 squirreled away in storage!
I've had numerous cars, and never really paid a lot of attention to the serial #s until the last few years.
