Default Turbocharger replacement

So my turbo needs to be either rebuilt or replaced on my 78 930. My shop will research and recommend but was wondering if you all had any ideas?

Default Specifics needed...

Can't offer legit ideas without more info. Such as....
Budget
Performance Expectations
Current build (100% stock or....?)
Cheers,

UMW rebuilt my k29 hybrid on my 86 930, and built k16/24 turbos for my 996tt. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Sounds like a good opportunity to upgrade the turbo, even if it si a stock car you should go with a K27-7200 or better. It will help build boost quicker and will make the car a lot more fun to drive. If it is modified I would probably upgrade to a k27/29 depending on power needs.

Thanks guys, looks like my shop is going with a K29 which should take advantage of all the mods we've done over the years. Thanks again!

Not sure I agree considering all the mods you've done over the years.

Good grief. See what happens when you're old. I'm losing my mind, thought I had included that originally when I posted this thread! Anyway, it's got 964 cams, p&p heads, 3.4L, and a better exhaust, inter cooler etc.
