Default Ignition Module

I need to change my old Ignition Module. It causes hot start problems.
The new one is very expensive:

Could you please suggest me where can I buy used but in good condition?

Sergey, unfortunately, that CDI box is not cheap. Problem is, when you purchase a used one, you get someone else's 30+/- year old box.

No personal experience, but a couple friends have had these folks "refurbish" their CDIs:

Specialized ECU Repair
941 NE 48 St
Oakland Park, FL 33334
1-800-328-1425

Best of luck.

Are you sure it's the CDI, in my experience it could be the warm up regulator, as long as you've checked ignition timing, points, plugs and leads.

My ignition module is damaged with incompetent people (they tried to do cheap rebuild using not Porsche parts). And this whacked module often does 5 000 rpm when I start ignition.

WUR was checked also.

Thank you! Just sent a message to them.
I don't think that they could repair mine and asking them if they have one to sell to me.

Permatune makes nice one with modern electronics in the stock Cdi case. Need a coil too.

I have been using MSD ignition on HotRods for 25 years. Easy to install, easy to mount, always worked well.
I'm guessing a MSD6AL would work well for you.

The advantage of the permatune is it looks oem and works well.
