18" rims fit?
Hello folks.
I have an 83 911 Targa that was converted to 930 wide body.
I’m having custom wheels built and don’t want any spacers/adapters.
The local discount tire put my car up on the rack to take measurements. I could tell this was not a typical project for them and not 100% confident in the numbers they came back to me with…
This will never be a track car. I told them I wanted a very big chrome lip and don’t want them to rub.
18X9 Front
18X11 Rear
They came back with:
Front: ET +10
Rear: -15
on
Front: 245/35/R18
Rear: 295/30/R18
They said this will give me a 5" rear lip and 3" front.
Anyone know if this may work well? Or any potential rubbing of passenger oil line or trailing arm? Can I get away with 315/30 in rear?
Thanks for any help!

At first glance, I think those recommended offsets, 9 et10 in the front and 11 et-15 in the rear, are too aggressive. I suspect those rims/tires will rub on the fender lips, especially if your car is/has been lowered.
Depends if your '83 was modified with factory 930 suspension components. Suspension geometry is different from 911 to 930. Different front control arms with anti-dive geometry, and different hubs. Different rear trailing arms, for anti-squat, and different gearbox/axles/wheel carriers.
I'm fairly confident that these rims would not fit a factory 930. Most folks that fit a 9" front on a 930 run a 30+/- offset. And I think an 11 et0, without factory 28mm spacer, is a pretty aggressive fitment.
Bottom line...it really depends on the components your 911 was modified with. Will these be 3-piece wheels? If so, and the rims end up not fitting, the shop should re-build them, at no charge, until you're happy.
