Default Does anyone in NY/NJ area know this car?

This is a car I was looking at (on eBay of all places). Visually I like what I see, but I'm no 930 expert. Is there anything (aside from the fabspeed intake) that looks off to the experts in here? I am not sure about the wheel centers if those are original or not.

I asked the seller that I'd want to have a PPI done but he's insisting that since it was done 250 miles and a year and a half ago that it wouldn't be necessary. All my Porsches have had PPIs done. Am I being too particular insisting on a PPI?

The auction is expired so I think it's okay for me to post the link. The color combo works well for me but I thought I'd post here first to see if anyone knows this car.

No you are not, it's your money you decide if it's necessary or not. Don't know the car but it looks pretty good in the pictures.

No, I do not think you are. Your money, your choice. If the car is as described, my first thought at the seller insisting it's not necessary is - "what's the worry?"

The car has been relisted. The seller is 5 minutes away from Bodymotion. It couldn't get any easier for the seller to allow a PPI.

Thanks for the replies. Anything aesthetically about the car that looks out of place? If I decide to pursue this car I will definitely have a PPI done.

You must have a PPI done, if seller doesn't allow it walk away, and fast

If you don't personally know the car then GET a PPI. Best way to protect yourself from bad surprises, your in your right to ask for it.

Myself I would NEVER buy a stranger's car without at least a good inspection from a knowledgeable mechanic.

Those center caps are odd. The Fabspeed intercooler would usually have an exhaust change to go along with it (looks like it has aftermarket headers) ,but the tips look stock. If I was taking pictures I would show pics of the options tag (just saw it so never mind) under the trunk lid and pics of the other VIN tags. If they are not there that would be a concern to me. I didn't see any picture of the original radio. Schneider Nelson doesn't have anyone that knows how to work on one of these cars let alone make a determination as to it's condition. Who puts wheel weights on the outside of the wheels?
