Ok so I have a 83 930 that my dad left me. It had not been started in 15 years. Well I got it started last year but it would not run long like maybe 30 - 40 sec. I found the front fuel pump was bad. I just replaced it and cleaned the strainer. Now it will almost start and run rough for like 3 sec. but not stay running. I can do this like 3 times then it just cranks. When I turn the key I do not hear the fuel pumps run but after it runs for the 3sec. or so and dies I hear the pumps for a sec.

What should i look for?

I would clean the fuel system from one end to the other. Make sure that the filter in the gas tank is not clogged. I would remove the fuel tank and have it cleaned. Start with new gas and filter. Good luck!

Got it running the metering plate was gummed up. I still need to take the gas tank out and clean it better.

Long story short guys, car got fixed and running perfectly. Warm up adjustment when cold is what it needed. Cars is an absolute beast now. Thanks for all advice and help guys! Very much appreciated.
