Default What are the stock wheel size/offsets? Alternative sizes?

Does anyone know what size the stock Fuch wheels are? Offsets? I recently bought an 86 930. It has the stock wheels with black painted centers. The car is very low miles (17K) and the wheels are mint. I am interested in painted the centers white (car is white), but I don't want to devalue the wheels I have, so I thought I'd buy a backup set. I see wheels on ebay all the time, but I'm not sure what my options are, and what size/offsets work. I would even like to consider going a little wider to fill the wheel wells more fully (strictly for appearance sake) but I also don't want to upset the balance and handling. What wheel/tire combo work well? TIA

You can run 16x9 Fuchs in the back. I believe they were an extra cost option as opposed to the 16x8 in the rear, but someone may have to back me up on this. The 16x9 may have become standard in 89. You can easily run 16x8 in the front.

The 16x9 very tough to find. Ive seen people pay almost $2000 for a mint pair.

My 88 has 16x7 and 16x9 though they are not on the car. I dont think painting them will devalue them espec. if you paint them the same color as the car. If you do so you will get more for them when sold with the car in my opinion. Even though people like new aftermarket rims on these things, the same owners like to have the originals too in case they want to go "retro".

The 16 x 9 rears started in '87. The fronts stayed at 16 x 7.

WheelEnhancement sells an excellent conditon set of 16 x 7 & 9's for about $2100 I recall from another thread here.
