Trapped Oil...
Some help please...
I have decided to switch to Mobil One 15W-50 instead of the Mobil One 10W-30 I was running previously.
I wondering abt the oil in the front cooler and lines - it's trapped in there until the thermostat opens. Is mixing these oils a problem? If so, is the only way to get that oil out to open/drain the cooler/lines? I know mixing synthetics and conventional oils is a big no-no, but what abt two synthetics?
Thx in advance...
Mitch

I do not believe that mixing grades of oils is a problem. Here is a section off of the mobile 1 web site:
Can different synthetic motor oils be mixed together?
Mobil 1 with SuperSyn™ is fully compatible with conventional motor oils, semi-synthetic motor oils and other synthetic motor oils, should it be necessary to mix them. But the superior performance of Mobil 1 with SuperSyn™ will be reduced by diluting it.
