Default Pre-Purchase Checklist

Has anyone put together a pre-purchase checklist specifically for 930 Turbos that they are willing to share?

Ask the shop you choose to send you a PDF copy of what they plan on doing. A good shop will have lists already created.

Vince,

The checklist is basically same as a NA 911, there is a lot more crap leak oil on these and engine health is a big deal so a leak down is a must. I'd make sure the shop know's 930 well. The CIS can have issues with used with ethanol based fuels, just like with the 73-83 911's. You really want one that has been well maintained as deferred maintenance on these can be very expensive to catch up on.

What Phil says and particular attention should be made of the whole intake and exhaust system for leaks. Pull the boot off the turbo inlet and check for oil and excessive end play of the turbo.
