k27-7200 is this the correct upgrade?
Is the k27 turbo charger the correct upgrade? Is this a direct bolt on, or is there more parts and modification needed. Would Garrett be a better choice? Is there a noticeable horsepower/performance change, or just less lag.

Rick, I just had a K27/7200 series installed on my 1989 and I did notice a significant performance increase. My tech recommended either the K27 or Garrett Hybrid.
It seems for my style driving the K27 is ideal. (no track use,just a weekend cruiser) The Garrett might produce a bit more power but the K27 could be more reliable? I would suggest a larger intercooler than stock if you go to the new turbo. The K27 spools up much faster also. Jerry
