taylor wires

JB:
Taylor wires are OK, but Magnecor's are much much better.
Magnecor uses their own plug connectors which do not have the troublesome internal resistors that all the others have. Those lose continuity and cause all kinds of strange misses and stumbles.
These are spiral-wound wires that perform the RFI suppression duties. You won't buy any more wires for a very long time,.....

Hi Dave:
LOL,.....If they are truly the original ones, I'd bet that your plug connectors have poor or intermittent continuity and the wires might put on a good "light show" at night.
With all due respect, I'd suggest replacing them soon. They really suffer in the ultra-hot engine compartment of a Turbo.

Steve - They really are the originals wires, although some of the spark plug connectors have been replaced. I'll take a look tonight for the light show, but it sure is running good - smooth all the way to redline. I hate to fix it if it ain't broken!!

Hi Dave:
As long as your meter shows good continuity on all the wires & connectors, and the values are all close, there is not point is "fixing" something that isn't broken,.......
An easy test to see if your wire's' insulation has broken down is to get a spray bottle with water and fog the wires all over the distributor with the engine running in a dark garage or at night. You will see some blue corona and arcing all over the wires if they are in need of replacement.
