Default Any info on this 930?

I miss my 930 and am back in the market.

Anyone knows this one? Would look good minus the red wheels.

Looks nice. I would agree on the wheels.....color matched wheels work only for certain colors (I'm stuck with mine....white....but they grow on you). Red wheels....too much IMHO.

Wow, they did an engine-out service and mentioned just valve cover gaskets? That's nice, won't have to worry about them. And "while they were in there", did a clutch replacement. Sure hope they didn't replace the OEM with another rubber centered unit.

Most likely a well cared for low mileage car. Probably worth the asking price.

No one answering phone. Googled the VIN, car was offered for sale last september in Fla. Carfax shows one owner in Carmel IN.

Nice car, very original down to the speaker grills and the radio..You noted the wheels, but they could have been ordered in that way. Turbos in '86 came with full leather as standard equip. I guess it was ordered with that vinyl dash. 5700 people viewed this car without a purchase. Where are all those people crying for a clean 930?

Could the vinyl dash be a replacement? Who would order one instead of leather?
Also it says private seller but the ad starts listing a second car.

Seems I read somewhere that when the 930 came back to the states in 86 they all came with vinyl dashes because of warranty problems with the leather dashes.

My '86 has a leather dash. The '86 930 catalogue states full leather as standard equip. It changed in '87. Warranty problems were always an issue to the fact that you'll find very few 87-89 911/930s with a leather dash. That's why I mentioned it. No, it's mostly likely the original dash. Dealer probably talked the buyer out of leather..Warped leather dashes were and are common. Mine is shrinking ever so slightly..

The '86 911 turbos had a leather dash. The vinyl came out in '87.

My 81 SC had a leather dash with the telltale seam and piping. Did they do the same in 86?

My previous 86 didn't have any seams nor piping on the dash. Might well have been vinyl.

Yes they were the same style. My '77 930 has a very similar look too.

Sounds shady. A 26 k mi 1 owner '86 would fetch 70k easily.

Naw you're over estimating the market...I think this red 930 is owned by LOWMILES, Phillip..(last name is escaping me) out of Vegas, now Florida. He was banned on pelican.
