I'm looking at a nice 1976 Porsche Turbo. The only problem is that the vin number doesn't coincide with any of the production runs for 76. The vin is 9306700648...According to my resources the production run was from 00001 thru 00644 with 644 cars made. Any suggestions????

There's some question as to whether the the numbers started at 0001 or 0011 on the early 930's ('76-'79). Many feel the 0011 start is the more accurate scenario. But in any case, the 2 sources I have list the '76 ROW 930 production at 654 units. So dependent on which start you use, the number should be either the 648th or 638th.
