John, I wish every deal was as smooth as yours sounds!

Oh, and I'd go with 16" wheels

BTW - where is your avatar, kind Sir???

As well - I agree about the silver wheels - and so does Jen...??

Best to you - and thanks for all you do!!!

Honestly? I have been shocked by this whole process!! I can't wait until tomorrow to have her home in my garage... I did some shuffling with the other Porsches in there tonight - and swept the floor and tidied up a bit... Maybe I'll take a pic tomorrow of my updated garage, if I get the chance???

As well - about the wheel size - I'm torn between the sizes?? I'm leaning more towards either the 17" or 18" Fiske FM10s..??

I'd really appreciate any input on this tho' as I haven't pulled that trigger - yet..!!

Best to all for a wonderful evening - and my thanks again!

John,
I've always loved the forged Fuchs. There is an alternative if you want to go bigger and wider. A previous owner had the stock 16" Fuchs on my car modified into 17" modular two piece wheels that retain the original Fuchs centers. In my opinion these are the best looking alternative and certainly retain the classic Porsche look while accommodating more contemporary tires. Mine are 315/35ZR17 and 245/45ZR17. I believe CMW Racing did the modification. I also believe the cost was about $1,100/wheel. There are others that do the mod too. I'll attempt to attach a picture.

IT....

IS....

HOME!!!!!

I love it... No - I really LOVE IT! This has been a dream... Can I tell you how much I love it??!! I love my 993, 'cause I rescued it, and it's been my daily driver for almost a decade.. I love Jen's 964 C4 - as it's a dazzling car.. I love our '68 911L, because it's pure and simple....

But...

I'M IN LOVE THIS '88 930

Claude - those wheels are AWESOME!! Thanks for the share! Part of me wants to keep an "original" wheel set for this car (as are on now) and get some RS or Fiskes, and another part want me to do that upgrade.. They are wonderful...

Thanks to all of you..!

Congrats, I know what you mean. I've had a lot of 911s (newer). My 930 is by far in it's own catagory.

OK - here is a quick pic from a few minutes ago. I was out driving the 930 "just to be sure the headlights worked".. It took me about 20 miles to be sure they were on and working OK

Umm - they work fine...

A quick pic of her first night in the garage (sorry about the quality - I take pics for one of my jobs, but NOT with an iPhone!!!) this is an iPhone pic with the 930, 993, 964 and '68 911L in the garage..

Still wiping the grin off my face - sorry

You guys are wonderful!! Just back from the weekend wedding for my family - and I think I'm headed to the garage and obsess about a few minor things on my 930... Tomorrow - I'll get her registered in my name (from the PO, who let me drive it home on his plates ) and take her for a well deserved long drive....

I love this Porsche... It it so different then the others I've had and currently have.... While my garage is a tad crowded - I love the "crowd"...

My thanks and best to all of you!!!

Indeed you have, Sir! Indeed you have!

Hmm..Apparently, I'm having avatar issues lately.. You see , I'm (almost) Porsche-less these days.. In fact I sold most of my respectable cars. I could run the Evo but I'm afraid that Bob will send me to moderate the Other Marque Discussions.

But... I think.. I have a solution.. I'll run your black car for a few days! Thank you very much!
Hope you and Jen are okay with it..
