Tire Question

Just noticed TireRack no longer carries Fuzion ZRi tires in rear size of 245/45/16.

They do have it in 245/50/16.

Just wanted to make sure that going w/a slightly higher sidewall wouldn't throw things off.

Thanks.

It is taller so it will throw the speedo off (roughly 8-10%) and also will make first and fourth a little deeper. I went from 245/50 to 245/45 and found that the car is a little easier to launch and happier at cruise.

Bummer that the Fuzions are gone but I think Toyo makes the T1R in that size and if you don't mind more wear and a little slippiness in the cold the evergreen RA1 race tire also makes for a good fair weather street tire.

I bought the 245/45 Fuzions here last month.

A bit of thread revival. Anyone purchase tires for their Fuchs recently? I'm currently running Pirelli (P6000) 225/ 50/16 up front and 245/50/16 rear. Tires are 14 years old with 14k miles. Sounds like 245/45/16 may have been stock (or 255/45/16?). I remember 14 years ago my mechanic telling me we had to switch away from the stock size but I didn't think much about it until now.

Tirerack has my current sized tires from BF Goodrich and Firestone but now I wondering if I should look at other tire size options (provided there are other options).

So, if you have recently purchased stock Fuch compatible tires could you let me know what type of tires you are running?

Thanks.
