Default 930 leather interior

Did Porsche switch to plastic dash board material starting in 1987 or did leather become a special order option after 1986?

Do a search on this forum, and I think you will find that the only year (between 86-89) that had an all leather interior at no cost, was the 86 model year.

My '85 is all leather. You're probably lucky to have the plastic dash. The leather dash shrinks over time and distorts the plastic dash form under it. It's not a cheap repair.

If it has been properly cared for this can be prevented.

It's got that textured leather look, if that counts. But hard as....well....plastic. Shines up nice, though.

Yep, but I'll bet 7 out of 10 weren't. If the car's spent anytime in Florida I'll bet that even with care it's got issues. I'll fix mine when it finally has to go on the carousel for the frame-up.
