Default mods for a '79 930.....

Hi guys,

I keep going back and forth about modding it or keeping it completely stock, but if I do decide to mod it, I was wondering what brands you guys would suggest for an intercooler, headers, and exhaust?

As of now I was thinking of going with all Fabspeed stuff, but I know a lot of people have B&B. These are the two brands I was toggling between, but if you guys have any other suggestions and experiences with other brands I would love to hear about them!

Thanks,
j

Go Mod! Find one of the name brand ICs Kokeln/Andial/Fabspeed/BB (upgrade th the C2 BOV assembly) and any combination of the BB GHL Fabspeed header/muffler. There's a post just a couple down guy has some Powerhaus Headers with heat available. Best steer clear of the chinese OBX/GSF stuff. These are all pretty interchangable with each other and will give you similar performance gains and weight savings. If it was me I'd start searching here and on Pelican for used gear, you'll save a heap over new. You'll need to bump your turbo to K27 minimum, maybe even a 1 bar WG spring...

ok guys, it's almost out of the shop and it's time to get some new tires since the ones on there are dry rotted. I know the stock sizes are 205/55/16's on the front and 225/50/16's on the back, but I kind of wanted to upgrade a little to 225's on the front and 245's on the rears. I have 8's and 9's.

I'm just wondering if I increase to 225/245's, do I keep the same sidewall height or lower it a little? I'm not sure if I'm going to rub or not if I go with wider tires with the same sidewall height. It is lowered....

any help would be apperciated....thx!
