Fantastic Bigs , Was this your original project 935 or is this another ?
I see you are getting a flat fan , i was going to ask about that. Any reason not to move the coolers to the fenders ?

This is the original 935 project - the shop that did the original work screwed everything up so badly we had no choice but to redo it...
On the coolers, when we do the K3 front end the oil coolers will be relocated (new cooler utilized) as a large central unit ducted over the hood as the original K3s were done. The rear quarters will have a tranny cooler in the passenger side lower intake, and a diff cooler for the passenger side lower intake. The top two intakes in the rear quarters are dedicated to 5" intakes that will be plumbed to the IC plenum in the back seat which is being fabb'ed up now.

We actually studied thousands of old K3 photos and decided to misalign them to match the original cars. There was much, much discussion as to whether or not to line them up perfectly or not, as we're using so many factory original 935 parts we decided it was best along with the variations in the body work from side to side, so match this unique quality of the original cars.

The rockers will not taper back into the body but they will look as the attached pics. JLP 2 and the Jager car and the JDavid car ran with these rockers as they were proven to slightly increase effective downforce without a drag penalty and also improve cooling to the case.
There were aerofoils built into the rockers that we are going to replicate from the original 935 K3s that ran these:

I don't think I had ever noticed that detail before. Very interesting. Do you think it will be problematic away from a track? I mean, will they pick up a lot of debris?
I have to tell you that I really enjoy all of the build photos. I think you're a little nuts for building a car like this, but take it as a compliment. I'd love to do the same with a 993 RSR.

The original 935/Moby dick car front fenders exited as far back as the halfway point of the door and attached to the side skirt. The FIA had them remove the door section, hence the unfinished look, with the side skirts .
The Images shown by Bigs and those of his car is a combination of K3 and Mobydick aero, nothing original to any specific car , the original K3 never had that kind of side skirts , the factory Mobydick car did , again not unusual for the time as many were constantly modded and nothing was left " original " due to such...

A Wayne - you're right brother - when I say original I meant that they were run on the original K3s, not that they came that way from Kremer or Porsche.
On these cars, basically no 2 were alike on outside and inside - its fascinating looking at the details, dashes etc. that there were so many ways to set these cars up
