Default RS-A? Perlon Carpet kits? Online store?

So i've been looking through a few back issues of Excellence trying to find a place that carries RS-A Perlon style carpet kits for an 88 930 Cab(yes i know it's the same as a 911 cab). but i seem to be coming up empty for places that sell online.

I've seen a few 930s on here with what looks like these carpet kits installed and really liked the look.

my carpets are pretty tattered so i figure while i have the entire interior stripped down for some other work, it's not a lot extra to do the carpets.

anyone have a link or 2 with some positive feedback on fit and finish?

THANKS!

+1 on Appbiz.

I bought their "plush" RS-A kit & door panels, and couldn't be happier. According to Bob, it's maybe a pound or two heavier than Perlon felt, but should last longer and stand up to the abuse of use.

Plus 2 on Appbiz, Bob is great and what you need is the lightweight Sliver knit RS carpet kit.

Are these kits fairly easy to install?

Bob at APPBIZ here
The difficulty increases with the year of the car. The 86 930 is a bit of work, but much easier than a c2/c4 or a 993 If you have never done a project like this I suggest you get some help or hire it out. Guessing there is a Rennlist member with experience in your area that might be talked into helping for Pizza and beer....

Thanks Bob,
This is something I will do soon. I have a tendency to do things a bit over my head. I will talk to the 930 folks here in Phoenix. Looking at that picture, I am amazed there is that much carpet in the car!

Torresmd, that is a Cabriolet kit, there are fewer pieces in a coupe set. If you decide tackle it yourself, take the old saying to heart "Measure twice, trim once".... And be sure and take a bunch of digital photos as you remove the old stuff so you see how things ovelay! Bear in mind that if you do make a mistake we will be happy to work with you to make things right.

BTW were running a special on our Black Genuine Sliverknit kits through the end of Feb, $549
The Domestic plush and Perlon felt kits are discounted too. $229 to $259
You need to call the order in, the Website won't do the discounted price.

Not to hijack but I need a trunk kit for my 87 930. I think it is the gray perlon. Is there any way to tell what color it is or should I just post a pic?

Torres - from guys I know that have done it themselves as a first timer...lets just say that out of 5 guys, 5 completed the installs in 1 day, a few in less than 4 hours and there was much beer involved. 1 guy actually cried though...

Its like a puzzle...so if you're good at those you should have some fun, but you'll need a helper to fetch the pieces
