Ruf 17" wheels and Big Red Brakes
Simple question, does anyone here have the Ruf 17" CTR style wheels, whilst also running 993tt big red brakes? I'm about to buy a set of wheels and just want to make sure they will fit. Whilst i'm asking, does anyone have the lyndsey 17" wheels (Like Jimculp) with Big Red brakes?
I know bugger all about wheels, offsets blah blah blah, and i just wantto make sure i buy compatible parts, thanks for any help

You will be perfectly fine with those 17" Ruf wheels with TT Big reds.

Three Wheelin'
I just finished that upgrade.
Be sure to get all the fittings and attachement hardware.

Lincoln (schnele) has the 17" Ruf wheels with TT Big reds combination. You might want to PM him for all the details in case he does not see this thread.

Here's the Pelican Link.
17" Thread Link
Price point is around $2,400 USD I do know he's making custom 18" wheels as well very soon.
Real RSR versus Lightweight Replica
One of the prototypes
Custom Centers done to be a more correct wheel

I think you guys are right, although the Speedlines do look great on a 930 (just look at Lincoln's machine) they are quite heavy, plus i've gone to great lengths to keep this car looking stock (ish), it was a major headache just keeping the stock rear tail for a start.
I guess the Fuchs style is the way forward, I would really like some wide rubber on the back (not Gabe wide), 11" would be great, but there is a major lack of rubber available in 315/35/17 in the UK (I am assuming this is the ideal size for an 11" wheel) Would i be best to wait for Jeff Alton to get round to doing 18" wheels?

Not sure what his timeline is but I know its a few weeks away from getting started. 315/35/17 is hard to come by in the US as well with most sought after brands...personally I think with 18's you'd have a much better shot at tire sizing, plus his wheels will look correct in the larger size versus the other setups.

My wheels are heavy indeed but I would not mind hitting a pothole at speed versus some of the spun light weight hoops out there. You can talk about unsprung weight, and the inherent draw back of the wheel but Yellow Bird ran 213mph with those same wheels.
