1986 930 , what's it worth
This is virtually a one owner car. It was purchased new by myself from the Prosche dealer in San Francisco but was sold in late 1986 to my Aunt with about 2500 miles on it. She has owned it ever since. Car gets driven from her home to her buisness in Santa Cruz , CA about 5 miles round trip and then a few 800 mile round trips to Los Angeles per year. Has 140k on the chassis and 60k on the rebuilt motor done by CT/ Carrera Tech in Campbell , CA . Car is pristine and never had any paint work done to it . White Gold with brown interior . Bone stock original. Here is a picture (middle car)for the color. Not a good picture but it is the only one I have from when I owned the car in 1986 . She is selling the car because she is getting older and does not want to shift anymore and has bought a 06 Carrera tip.
Opinions on value ?

I would put it between $20K and $26 because of the high miles and even the rebuild is 60,000 miles old. Also remember that the chasis is 140,000 miles old which includes some real expensive items. Knowing the previous owner does help but miles are miles.

Cool story, great car (your aunt must be quite a gal!), and killer pic of the trio there - looks like fun.
The <<<Car gets driven from her home to her buisness in Santa Cruz , CA about 5 miles round trip>>> bit spooks the crap out of me, personally. My useless $0.0002. On any car, really, but REALLY on a 930 - eeek!
Good luck, report back!

I have to agree. I would start at 26k.

OMG look out!! Let me tell you there's nothing like it I mean nothing. Once you get behind the wheel of a turbo , you'll never look back and then you'll ask yourself "what the f**k have I been doing for so long"

I pretty much agree with everything said here.... there are times when she does not drive the car much at all . These cars sit and the seals and and such dry up a bit and become prone to leaking... that being said Carlson Porsche in Redwood City maintains the car and she does not allow any deferred maintenance . No oil leaks nothing . Because of the condition of the car overall I was thinking 25K .
My Aunt is cool... anyone in the Santa Cruz/Aptos area has probably seen this car . It is never polite to talk about a womans age but she is my Aunt and I am 45 and she is only 3 years junior to my father so.......
The boxer is a great car . I bought both that and the grey 1983 930 in the photo in Europe back Nov of 1983 .. that 1983 turbo to this day was the best turbo I have ever owned right up to my 2001 . For whatever reason it was just an extremely righteous car. Thanks to all for the feedback
Early 1984 in Italy

Great road car . I drove that BB512i all over Europe from late 1983 through 1984 . Absolute awesome period of time in my life
I am going to take some detailed photos of the 86 Turbo and list it in the classifieds here and see what happens
