Default Cut the zork stinger and added stainless wastegate pipe- like we debated

Ok guys I finally stopped cutting the zork back so it looks like it should IMHO. I modified a SC lower valance to fit the 930 and center cut it. I also added a SS wastegate pipe to fill (sort of) the empty left opening. What do you think? Its loud and I noticed that the boost comes on 1K RPM eairlier. FerrairPete was right- It's loud and "look at me officer". We blasted the car up to the boat for an hour each way and it was a hooot. Their was no sneaking up on anyone thought....- regards, Mike

Very nice... I am in the process of doing final fitment of my zork and a 934-style wastegate dump pipe that runs along side of it. Need to do a little trimming myself. What did you use to cut the pipe? I ordered a fiberglass rear valence that I'll cut to accomodate once the pipes are all where I want them.

And yes... REALLY loud.

Recipricating band saw- I think thats what its called. Allows you to clamp in whatever and the band saw arm lowers itself and keeps the blade lubricated. Ours is not the fancy or US built- just a $168 northern tool one. Works fine for smaller jobs.

With the fiberglass valance make sure to keep the heat shield. I was amazed how hot that little zork gets....Mike

Looks good. No worries hitting it by accident now when hot. BTDT.

Hey Mike,

It looks a lot better since you've done the trim work...

Not really sooner after the cut, It seemed sooner after replacing the stock muffler. Might just be me- It sure "sounds" faster!!!!! Love the popping on deceleration also... Mike

I believe he is referring to the Zork tube not the WG tube...

thanks for beating me to the explanation jitters.

i agree, his comment on the boost arriving sooner is related to the deletion of the skok system and the addition of the less restrictive zork.

Hey Mike.. looks much better with the cut..

And you are not mistaken about the boost coming in sooner.. Turbos don't like back pressure.. when you remove the stock muffler and go free flow they get zippier. Zork flows even better with zero restriction!

Glad to hear you're making race-car noises!
