What does it take to add AC to something like this? I am seriously consider replacing my 993 for this. But I live in Texas, and this car will be a daily driver.

Hate to say it but you would be MUCH better off with a stock 930 that has a working AC system and this car is really not suitable as a DD. She is a VERY capable track car that can be driven on the road if necessary (like if a track is nearby... ), but it is no touring car.

You could just change the gears to be equivalent to the gears+R&P in the G50/50. There's not a scrut around that would bust you so long as the ratios compute out the same.

Colin, you think that going back to the 3DLZ and having Dan set the G50/Diff up so the gearing is equivalent to an 89 G50/50 it would be "old D" legal?

Beautiful car, I agree with a specific need idea, but, it is drop dead in that color. Plus all the add ons--maybe Phoenix in Jan. RM does an auction at the Biltmore. I saw a pearl white slant(stock) go for around 70 at Barrett in Palm Beach. All you need is two guys going for it(and either one of them may have just decided to get the Porsche disease)--just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks Daley, i'm not in a rush or a bind for cash so I have plenty of time. I want to touch up a few things before pushing for a sale and then i'll start actually advertising it. If it doesn't sell locally or through Rennlist / Pelican classifieds then EBay is certainly a possibility. I hate the thought of selling her at all, but there will be greater harmony here when next year's racing season starts if I only have one money pit to fill in!

Default don't sell!

i only say that as i am now on my 3rd 930. each time i have sold my car in the past...i end up buying another. there are simply no cars that provide the adreniline to replace a 930.

please consider geofrey and his comments regarding compliance and race the 930!!!!!

i respectfully ask you to reconsider your sale. you have a full e-ticket ride so i hope you reconsider.

very best,

peter

Ferrari Pete is right---There just is not a ride out there like a moded 930--On the blast up to Rennsport(on 95) I was in a group of watercooled Turbos and most of the owners had 930s previously, they all said the new cars were amazing and beyond competent but no where near as much fun -and fun is what it is all about to most drivers.. I still think with that color and those improvements you would do well at a highend auction but put up a high reserve. Good Luck!
