1979 930 Turbo worth
It pains me to ask, but i have to get rid of my project to be pride and joy. 1979 930 Turbo worth $ ? I have almost finished rebuilding the engine just getting ready to do the body. I may not be able to keep the car but i will least have the pleasure of of bringing her back to life. So with that in mind the body has 38k miles on it, the interior is in good shape and the body beside paint fade is in good shape i plan to replace all window trim when glass is remove for painting
and any rubber that is questionable, any thoughts would be appreciated.

the 5th character in your vin # is 8, this identifys your car as the desireable U.S.A. non catalytic model with future collector status. A Euro would have a 7 in place of the 8.

I have been looking for a additional 930 to beat the hell out of and I have found some of the older cars in need of cosmetics in good running condition in the teens. I found a 77 for $14 paint trashed, interior trashed, a 85 with a shifting problem for $23 and a good running middle of the road condition for $26 but ugly.
Do you have an idea of what you need out of the car, I may be interested also. How complete are you planning on selling the car- running or with boxes?
Mike

Engine will be back from machine shop in about a week, (machine shop time?)
i plan on replacing any seal(s) and or plastic that brakes coming off when i send to body shop or any that looks and or feels like it should be replaced, leather and carpets died again. I'm thinking in the 30s all depends how far i end up going back. i am keeping it original as possible. i want to have it completed end of oct. at latest
