Default who makes a large front mount oil cooler?

i'm looking to find a FMOC that will **FILL** the opening behind a RUF replica wide body front bumper. either in-line or as a replacement to the OEM fender mounted unit.

i'm looking for a complete kit but i cannot seem to find anything but parts.

as i'm replacing the front bumper now seems like the best time to get the oil cooler.

I used a Setrab oil cooler. I don't think you wan't to go with only a FMOC though. Plumb it in with your fender mount for enough cooling capicity. That's what I did.

I got mine from powerhause, but if you do make sure you get the angled fittings not the straight fittings. you cannot install the fog lights if you get the straight fittings. i had to send mine back for them to change it. from straight to angled.

Here's how my IA supplied cooler looks mounted in a AIR dp style valance. It fills the space nicely.

i have delt with BAT in the past and while i have used them for other things including a source for such parts as what i'm looking for here, it's a matter of not wanting to go through the trail and error stages of fitting a custom kit.... unless someone has a very detailed list of ****ALL**** the parts required.

Jim,
looks good, i also enjoyed that beachboo pic right beside the oilcooler!

thanks for the help.
Is the oil cooler listed on the IA site? i didn't see it... is it a phone order only part?

Edit: NM. found it in the online store...

anyone know if the 2-1/4 or the 3" core would be better for fitment.
the opening on the RUF bumper is 24x4" so i can go with the 5-1/4x2-1/4x24 or the 6x3x24" cooler kit...?
are the fans worth it aswell?

What Jim said x2. Call Stephen at IA. I dont think you will need fan since you are in Canada. I'm in hot, humid east coast and even in unplanned 45 min stop and go on the Beltway I didnt got past 195F on a 98F day last week.

Those are good looking coolers and the aluminum will help transfer heat quickly. I don't think you will be able to fit a fan(s) in there. I know I can't. Unless you buy a kit, you'll have to buy parts and fab as you go. I used Areoquip stainless steel lines.

Are you guys running any kind of screen in front of your oil coolers? I fabbed one up, but it would be nice to have one that was pre-made like GT Racing's I think it was.

I got a screen from TRE. I really like it, but its going to take a little work it get it to fit just right. Here is the picture of what it will look like when i get it done. It is strong so it should keep all the mables and rocks out of the cooler...

I made the grille the same way the factory did for the euro slant noses out of a cut down rear deck grille off a car without the whale tail. I uploaded a pic to show why you ned to get angled fittings on the oil cooler and one of the grille i made. i adjusted the pic contrast to show it more clearly so the color is a little off.

Mine is a B&B, fills my opening quite well. Car never went much past the 1/2 way mark on the track with ambient temps over 95F!
