Default turbo smoking at DE events

How much smoking from the exhaust should I expect after driing for 25 minutes at a DE event?
My car does not smoke at all on startup when riven on the street, except for a small puff intially.
However, at DE event, the car will smoke very heavily for 3-5 minutes at idel before it clears out only after it has sat and cooled off for 1-2 hours between sessions.
Is this normal (hard to believe) and if it is not as I suspect, what could be the causes and solutions to fix this?

Any info greatly appreiciated.

Mine doesn't smoke before, during or after a run. Do you make sure you drive around a little bit after you pull in and then let it idle a few minutes to keep that turbo happy?

After sitting there for a while, the oil is getting past the valve guides or rings I woud say. Have you done a leak down or compression test lately?

Compression spans between 132-145psi on all 6 cylinders, so that is good.
No leakdown available, but I suspect it is ok as well.
I am leaning heavily towards some sort of oil scavenge problem, as I removed the intercooler and a lot of oil drained out when I let it sit on its side for a few hours.
Always allow long cool down periods for the turbo, especially after a DE run. Don't know what the previous owner did, but he seemed really gentle on the car from its condition.
Any ideas on tests I can run to further investigate?

If you have oil in your intercooler, it might be you turbo going bad.
