Private party looking for a very nice to excellent '89 930. Workable on most issues but would prefer a no damage or paint history car. Functional, well-executed modifications completely acceptable. Not really looking for a project or car with a "belongs in a museum" (read $60-70K) price. Pretty set on a 5- speed Turbo at this time.
Thank you for looking,
Scott

I'm in the market too. Check out www.sloancars.com. He has a great looking 89 ferrara fly yellow 89 turbo for $46k with 59k miles. I'm interested in it, but not committed. I'm also looking at a 87 slant nose delete turbo for about the same price in Cleveland. was looking at 964 turbos but getting more interested in the 930's. I think there are a few 89's out there in the high 30's but I have also seen them in the high 40's. Sloan is known for high quality cars but you do pay a bit more for his quality. He has a good reputation.

Mr. Sloan has some great cars on his website...not sure that they are all his cars but that may be academic. I have exchanged some e-mail w/ him and was interested in a low mileage '89 930's he presented...but could not come close to his starting price (see original post above).
In the end, it's still a free country and one is entitled to put any price they wish on his/her property...
Good luck w/ your search and I think that Fly Yellow car was (or is) in Rhode Island...not 100% on that though.

Just an FYI on Sloancars, have the car checked out by someone you trust. I know of a cetain Turbo that came from there that has cost the owner a fortune to get right. Was all original, never painted. Wonder why there is a drip in the paint in the bottom of the rear valance?
