K27/2 11/11 identify? 935?
Hello,
today I first saw my turbo from near,
the type-plate says following:
935.123.025.01
K27.2 - 3004G11.11
90011 0059
5327 999 1206
Can anyone tell what turbo this is
and if its fine for my 930?

Are you saying that the turbo is on the car now and it is stock? If so then the car either is a 930S or the turbo has been changed. The 7006 AKA 11/11 was not a standard turbo unless it was an S.

I reimportet the 930 2 years ago from UK.
We have 2 different 930 types in germany, 930 + 930s.
My type nr which is on the VIN plate shows a 930s
code nr.
On the other side:
I asked Porsche for the equipment details,
but there was nothing which indicates a 930s.
Further the car has only left side muffler outlet,
as far I know, the S versions had left+right muffler outlets
and the front oil cooler was different.
So, truly I am not sure what I have here.
Any ideas to identify if its a S version or not?

I recieved some more info on my "exotic" turbo:
935.123.025.01
K27.2 - 3004G11.11
90011 0059
5327 999 1206
Borg Warner indicate this part as a prototype
for Porsche Motorsports.
One interesting point is that the casted turbine housing
contains more NI (nikel) to allow more heat for motorsport
applications.
For dimensions:
The turbine wheel outlet is 60mm, same as K27 7200 in a 11.11 housing
The compressor wheel size is extracted from the 3004 number , its the first
30, which says 30x 1/10 inch = 76,2mm.
Same as K27 7200
Only the trim, extracted from the 3004, here the 04 seems a little
uncommon.
These last two digits give the percentage of the compresor gradient.
In this case 4%.
The K27 7200 has 72 %.
Whatever that means in performance??
Maybe the specialists can comment this?
Overall the BorgWarner people feel, that this turbo was
one of the prototypes for the K27 7200 tested at Porsche Motorsport.

You need to measure the compressor wheel inducer size.. It it is smaller than 54mm it is not a 7200... There have been compressor wheel changes over the early years but the best combination is the 7200.
