Strut Braces
#16
Thanks for all of the replies guys. I concur, if I was after maximum stiffness in the chassis than I'd put in a roll cage and do some kind of removable luggage boot bracing ala the 934/935. I find it really interesting that no one has addressed the rear. Is that because there aren't any units that fit the rear, or is it stiff enough because of the engine and tranny mounting structures? Thanks again for the responses. As usual you guys are the best.

The reason for not putting a strut in the rear as I see it, is the structure of the body. You see what i mean if you look in the engine compartment (without a engine installed)
I have installed coilovers on my car and thats why I also have a strut brace.
Annyone know about preloading the strut braces? Should the towers be tightend togetter or pulled apart?

Mine came with one installed by the previous owner, this was the only mod done to it and the previous was very conservative and by the book so some mechanic along the way must have convinced him of the benefits.
I really like that Rennline triangular one...beautiful!
