Hi all. Can anyone tell me where the brake light switch is. I put my foot on the brake pedal but the rear brake lights don't come on until the pedal is about half way through it's travel, and of course this means that I am actually braking but it would'nt appear so from behind. So I think I need to adjust the switch position.

The brake light switch in in the pedal cluster. Remove the wooden foot board and you will find it.

depends on the year they are on the master cylinder in the front, there are two switches that are not adjustable

mine is an "85,. I have removed the pedal board and there's nothing there. If it's on the master cylinder and it's non-adjustable then will my problem be solved by replacing the switch?

should be it worked on my carrera it's an 85 there are two switches on the master cylinder they are both pretty hard to reach so i replaced the one that i could reach best the re bled the brakes and it worked fine after that. the other switch probably needs it too but I didnt have time to take things apart to reach it as I had to drive it to work the next day.It's on my list of stuff to do after I get the turbo going.
